A true child of the Steppe, Inkhe was no stranger to strife. But despite the harshness of her upbringing, Inkhe rarely is seen without a smile. The thrill of the hunt and a deep desire for adventure pushed her to venture outside of her homeland in search of new experiences. She can often be found hanging around various companies trying to find a creature to slay or worthy opponent.

Appearance

Inkhe is a fairly average female Xaela. While petite, her body is toned and shows that she regularly engages in weapons training and fighting. Her skin is a warm, sun-tanned, and her messy moss-green hair is usually tied up hurriedly to keep out of the way. Her eyes are a a golden brown without limbal rings. Despite being known to pick fights with almost anything, or sometimes any one, Inkhe rarely wears any sort of armor or protection. She prefers to be comfortable, she says, though it also probably says much on her confidence in her own skill.

Personality

Her tribe would say Inkhe had always been trouble. She gave her mother a rather rough pregnancy, and she was a child who constantly cried. As she grew older, the energy found release by causing problems for everyone around her. Trying to ride the sheep, disrupting fishers by diving into the river, or constantly begging the warriors to train her, Inkhe was both feared and despised by her elders. Some found it endearing, however.

Age did not dim the boundless energy she carried. But she was able to find a way to focus it, and became a rather talented hunter and warrior of her tribe. She was felling beasts in her early teens, and she had survived various skirmishes with rival clans by the time she was of age. Inkhe is still easily excitable, overly confident, and ever an optimist. Some might say she's just been really lucky, but she would say it's definitely all skill.

Hooks

Below is a list of hooks that might help us facilitate an IC reason for meeting. These are just suggestions, and most common ways to get involved with this character. Have another idea or way to hook in some roleplay? Feel free to let me know.

  • Tribal Xaela: Inkhe is a true child of the Steppe. She often returns back home to see her tribe and family. But she's more than happy to introduce herself to others she meets outside of the Steppe. Or maybe spar a bit. Both are just as good.

  • Hunter: Inkhe usually makes a living while outside her homeland as a hunter-for-hire. The bigger the better. It would not be the first time she's interrupted someone else making a kill to take for own. While she's usually one to work alone, she would not be opposed to the occasional joint effort.

  • Avid Fisher: Being a Gesi, Inkhe took to her tribe's signature fishing style to heart. She's a master of the sling-spear and when she's not hunting beasts, she might be at a nearby lake, or river. Usually she only catches enough to eat. Fellow fisher? Someone who frequents the water's edge?

Note-worthy NPCs

  • Nukha Gesi: Nukha is Inkhe's uncle on her mother's side, though she's always viewed him more like an older brother. After she lost her parents from a raid by another tribe, Nukha's family took her in. He has always been a calming force in her life, and took much of the responsibilty for her rebelous youth. He also took over her spear training after her father.

  • Azkha Gesi: Azhha is Nukha's sister, therefore Inkhe's aunt. She is only one year older than Inkhe and therefore the two grew up quite close. Azkha always had a bit of a temper, so the two girls often took out frustrations by sparring with one another.

  • Vankhe Gesi: Vankhe is a giant of a man and one of Inhke's closest childhood friends growing up. The two were a rather trouble-making duo, and often would drag other children into their spirited pranks. Inkhe views the man like a brother.

  • Hashkani Gesi: Vankhe's betrothed. She was a rather jovial and kind soul, whose talents lay in weapon-making. She suffered quite a bit of teasing after being promised to Inkhe's best friend, but these days the two women have accepted one another.

Hey, I'm Hithren, and I've been doing this RP thing for about fifteen years, about four of them being in FFXIV. Below is some stuff you might want to know about me before engaging to make it easier on the both of us.

Disclaimer

As a general disclaimer: I suffer from major anxiety. If I do not answer or engage with you right away, please do not be offended. Sometimes I freeze up, or get discouraged.

I do not engage in ERP unless it is with close friends who I have gotten to know OOCly, and my characters have formed bonds with ICly. If you're looking for someone to satisfy such things, I'm likely not the roleplay partner for you. Don't get me wrong, I love ships and romance, but I do prefer organic development above all else.

I am not a multi-verse/AU roleplayer.

I prefer my roleplay to be lore-compliant ( within reason, we all bend a bit here and there), story/plot-driven, and mature-themed.

Accessibility

I am located in the PDT/PST timezone. At the moment I have a fluctuating schedule, so I prefer setting things up in advance rather than walk-ups. My main cast of characters are located on the Balmung server, and I do have some alts on Mateus and Goblin. I am more than happy to accommodate others via the World Visit system, however.

I predominantly roleplay in-game, and prefer this method over all others. I am open to Discord RP if that is the only way we can work something out, but I will warn in advance, I do tend to be slow to reply.
